A day at Red Sky Ranch's golf range. More pictures will follow on Monday when I play a round.

The course and club are located at the top of the mountain -- over 8,000 ft elevation.

The view from atop covers route 70 and the edwards-avon-vail valley.

Another spectacular view

The first hole of the Fazio golf course.

The 18th hole -- a monster par 5 -- the view from the restaraunt.

A storm moves in -- the second afternoon storm in as many days.

Climbing up Belly Ranch Road in Russell's dying car at 7am in the morning

A look from the first tee -- a sharp dog leg right over hundred foot cliffs. See teh trap on the right? That's where my drive landed.

I ended up with a boggie -- and only because I hit a 15 foot putt.

A gorgeous 550 yard par five. My drive again was terrible -- landing just left of the left sand trap.

A great, undulating green on which I three putted for 7. I was off to a great start.

The 330 yard third hole is one of the most beautiful on the course. It involves water, plenty of sand, plenty of rough, and a protected green.

Nice "out house" huh?

Again -- the third hole -- just after the tee box.

The green doesnt provide much depth -- its either near the hole or in the heavy rough. I gladly took a boggie -- after another terrible tee shot.

The 400 yard fourth hole is another beauty. It demands a straight, accurate tee shot -- I did just that with a four iron for my first good drive.

This amazing home overlooks the fourth hole -- hopefully they saw me sink my first par putt of the day.

A monster 580 yard par five that has a huge cliff on the right and bunkers throughout the left. I swung driver and ended up in the sand.

This is the drop off on the fairway's right side -- overlooking part of I-70 that is actually open.

This hole killed me for an 8, but its still great to look at. At least its the hardest hole on the course.

A great, downhill par four

After a 7 and 8 already, I finally began stroking the ball well

I hit par after missing a 7 foot birdie putt. I will never complain with a par though.

I lied! I hit this 221 yard par 3 with a great five iron within 5 feet of the pin. I swore it was going in... but i still took par... awful feeling.

A look from above to this long, uphill par 3.

The eight hole -- considered the third hardest on the course. And at 323 yards, its not because of distance.

Its because the green is severely elevated and only 25 feet deep -- if you hit before it, huge bunkers -- if you hit after, out of bounds.

And if you hit on the fairway, one of this critters poops on your ball.

Looking up from the eighth fairway towards the new Norman course (opening in two weeks).

Another long par 3 -- 185 yards. Sitting at 41 going into the 9th, I felt great after a 7 and 8. But of course I blew it here for a 5 -- 46.
