Photos: Vail Valley 3

The new Greg Norman course at Red Sky Ranch -- set to open in two weeks.

This is a view of a portion of the front nine.

Another view -- the course looks great although very challenging -- long and very narrow.

They have really prepared the front nine for the grand opening -- the back, which opens a week later, needs a little work.

But you wouldn't know it from the par 3 tenth hole. This hole is in great condition.

It is short, but the green has very challenging slopes and dimensions -- pin placement is what makes this hole difficult.

The 11th hole is long -- with great views from all angles.

This hole is plain ridiculous. From the tips, you have to hit 200+ off the tee just to carry to the fairway!

(same hole), apparently Norman wanted to make the box 50 yards further (250 to carry) but Red Sky said you will be the only person able to play it!

The new club house looks fantastic. Its got a two lane lap pool outside with a wading area as well.

Beneath it is a great putting green and driving range.

The house is buried in the mountains and somehow puts the guest house to shame.

Stopping at the scenic overlook on I-70, I captured the hills of Beaver Creek above the swamp of Edwards. Don't see a swamp?

Here it is -- the valley has been so flooded with record snow run offs and rain, that Edwards has been flooded.

The flooding is so bad that everyone is worried about West Nile Virus reaching Edwards. Funny...

Kayakers and Rafters were taking advantage of the extra water.

These homes must be nervous like the 300 evacuated in East Vail over the weekend.
